Family vacation in Big Bear July 23-27
We got to take a "camping trip" (as the boys call it) to Big Bear staying at Aunt Vicki's cabin with Chris, Lisa and Hannah Zeman. Aunt Joyce from New Mexico also got to come along with us! The kids all had fun playing with all the dirt, sticks, pine cones, bugs and rocks. We also went fishing, on walks, exploring and raccoon and bear hunting!

We kept 9 of the 15 fish we (mostly Chris) caught for our fish feast.
The kids wanted to touch the slimy fish.
Hannah touched the fish eye. EEEWWW!
Master fishermen turned into master chefs! We cooked the fish 3 different ways to see what we liked best. The mesquite marinade and cooked over the coals was the winner!

Chris & Jeff got to see a Mama Bear with her 2 cubs Monday night, just 2 doors down. Mama Bear got to see Chris and Jeff run after she let us know she was not happy to see us shinning flashlights on her cubs! Here is a picture of her paw print made in grease we found the next morning. Jeff was going to sleep outside with the boys until the bear sighting.
