Luke's 1 Month Old!

Luke is one Month old !
He has changed so much this month .
I thought I would post some pictures before he is too big and won't sit still.
Yesterday Luke had a 5 week check up and he weighed in at 6lbs 15oz and 19.5 inches long.
Luke is on the charts in the 30th percentile.
Luke is the only one in the family that is on the growth chart.
WAY TO GO LUKE!!

Joshua also had his two year check up . He weighed in at 22 lbs.
Joshua on the other hand did not make it on the growth chart. That's when the Dr. asked how tall Jeff and I are and then looked at the growth chart and indicated that Joshua wont be on the growth chart because Jeff and I are too short.
WE LOVE ARE LITTLE BOYS!!!!

Joshua's 1st Time At Dodger Stadium!!!!

On Saturday May 30, 2009 Taryn, Joshua & I got to go to Dodger Stadium to watch Monroe High School play in the Division II CIF Championship game.  As Dean & former coach I got some benefits, including getting in free & being able to get on the field after the game.  Sadly, our team lost, but it was still a great experience for all the players, coaches & fans to be there in Dodger Stadium with no crowd & up close to the action.  This was JJ's first trip to a big league ballpark & he really loved it!  Now I'm not as worried about taking him to a regular Dodger game this season (he's pretty hard to keep up with).  Taryn had a great time too & now has bragging rights among her friends since she got t0 be on the field!
Joshua in the visitor's dugout at Dodger Stadium.  I think he is sitting in the same place his Grandpa Brand sat when he was playing.

Outta my way buddy...I'm headed for the On-Deck circle!

Bring on the Dodger Dog! I worked up an appetite!
Daddy made sure that JJ got some dirt from the field in his shoe to take home.
(Mom was real happy about that)

Hat's off to the fans!

Joshua's 1st Fathers & Sons Camp Out!!!!!!!!!!

On May 15, 2009 JJ & I went on our first Fathers & Sons Camp Out at Oak Park.  As Young Men's President I had the fun of being in  charge of the whole event but I'm glad to say that we have a great ward so there was plenty of help.  Friday night we had the young men start the campfire & then put on an awesome skit with a reenactment of the restoration of the priesthood to commemorate the 180th anniversary of that great event.  It was followed by testimonies & of course marshmallows & s'mores.  In the morning the Bishop & uncle Bob, along with our Stake President & other High Priests made us a delicious breakfast with french toast, sausage, orange juice & milk.  The kids had a good time running around, playing at the playground, throwing water balloons and even hiking up the hill to watch the remote control airplanes take off & land at their own mini landing strip.  JJ was very happy to see so many sticks that he could collect.  After all, the "stick" was inducted into the Toy Hall of Fame just last year!  All in all, it was a successful event & JJ loved it, even if Dad didn't get much sleep!

Joshua found the ultimate stick!
Photo-op at the tent.  Can you tell if he is having fun?
At least someone finally got a little sleep.
Nite-nite time! But Dad...I'm having too much fun to sleep!
Dad can I have some more s'mores?

Luke Just Chilling Out!!!!

Luke is so tiny that it's hard to get him strapped in tight. He just looked so cozy in his car seat I left him there to nap.

I think he has some growing room in his car seat!  He is actually smaller than Joshua was when we brought Joshua home.

Luke's 1st Bath!!

All Done With Bath Time!
I tried to comb Luke's hair and all these curls came out . When his hair dried he only had spikey hair in the front .
