On Saturday May 30, 2009 Taryn, Joshua & I got to go to Dodger Stadium to watch Monroe High School play in the Division II CIF Championship game. As Dean & former coach I got some benefits, including getting in free & being able to get on the field after the game. Sadly, our team lost, but it was still a great experience for all the players, coaches & fans to be there in Dodger Stadium with no crowd & up close to the action. This was JJ's first trip to a big league ballpark & he really loved it! Now I'm not as worried about taking him to a regular Dodger game this season (he's pretty hard to keep up with). Taryn had a great time too & now has bragging rights among her friends since she got t0 be on the field!
Joshua in the visitor's dugout at Dodger Stadium. I think he is sitting in the same place his Grandpa Brand sat when he was playing.
Outta my way buddy...I'm headed for the On-Deck circle!
Bring on the Dodger Dog! I worked up an appetite!
Daddy made sure that JJ got some dirt from the field in his shoe to take home.
(Mom was real happy about that)
Hat's off to the fans!
